Basic Rules

At its core Sic Bo is a simple betting game played with three dice. Each round starts with players placing bets on the outcome of a dice roll, which is handled by a live dealer using a transparent shaker. 

Bets can cover specific totals, single dice values, or combinations of dice. After the dice are rolled, winners are paid according to the posted odds on the betting table.

Bet Types

Players have a wide range of betting options on the Sic Bo table. Common bets include Big (total 11–17) and Small (total 4–10), which pay 1:1. Other bets include Odd/Even totals, specific number faces appearing, two-dice combinations, doubles (two dice showing the same number) and triples (all three dice the same). Special bets like “Any Triple” or specific totals (e.g. exactly 4 or 17) offer much higher payouts but with lower probability.

Payouts and Odds

Sic Bo payouts vary by bet type due to differing odds. The safest bets – Big/Small and Odd/Even – pay even money (1:1) but exclude triples from the win. 

Betting on a specific triple (e.g. three 2s) has a base payout around 150:1, while any triple pays about 30:1. Totals pay higher fixed odds (for example, totals of 4 or 17 pay around 50:1), reflecting their lower probabilities.

RTP and Volatility

Sic Bo’s overall RTP (return to player) is typically in the high 90% range on standard bets. The Big/Small and Odd/Even bets usually have around 97.22% RTP each (house edge ~2.78%). Other bets like triples or specific totals have slightly lower RTP due to higher payouts. 

Evolution’s Lightning Sic Bo keeps these base odds but adds volatility with multipliers; its advertised RTP is 97.22% on the even-money bets and around 95–97% overall depending on bet mix.
